Why this role exists Our AI Safety Services team delivers everything from massive data-labeling programs to model-testing pipelines—often under aggressive deadlines. We need a hands-on Operations Project Manager who pairs classic project-management rigor with enough technical fluency to keep engineers, annotators, and data scientists rowing in sync. Your goal: ship projects fast, at scale, and with quality clients can measure. The impact you'll make

• Deliver flawlessly: Hit scope, schedule, and budget targets across multiple concurrent AI-data projects.
• Boost efficiency: Automate reporting, surface KPIs, and drive process improvements that cut cycle times and cost.
• Keep clients happy: Maintain crystal-clear communication and documentation so stakeholders always know status, risks, and next steps.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end execution—from scoping and task-template creation through annotation, model-pipeline setup, QA, and deployment hand-off.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams: engineers, annotators, data scientists, GTM leads, and client stakeholders.
• Build & automate workflows: create Asana projects; script Python / SQL jobs for metrics and QC checks.
• Track & report KPIs: timelines, throughput, quality, margin, and resource utilization—dashboards in Looker, Power BI, or Streamlit.
• Drive continuous improvement: identify bottlenecks, run retros, and implement SOP updates that scale to the next project.
• Maintain artefacts: SOWs, RACI charts, risk registers, and knowledge-base pages that keep the team aligned.

Experiences you'll bring

• 3–5 years managing technical projects or operations in data, AI, or software domains.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum or Kanban workflows (JIRA, Asana, Linear, or similar).
• Proven record delivering projects with distributed or remote-first teams.
• Comfort translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Core skills you'll need

• Project-management excellence: scoping, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder comms.
• Lightweight scripting: Python or similar for automation, data manipulation, and report generation.
• SQL & dashboards: query data warehouses and build KPI views.
• Tool savvy: familiarity with annotation platforms (Label Studio, Labelbox) and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Process mindset: design SOPs/playbooks and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Nice to have: MLOps exposure, experience with LLM-driven automation, or knowledge of security / compliance requirements in data operations. Why you'll love this role
