Technical and Hardware Support:

  • System Setup: Install, remove, and verify the functionality of specialized autonomous vehicle hardware (e.g., sensors, computers, data disks).
  • Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting and triage of hardware, software, and mechanical issues using diagnostic guides and tools. Escalate complex issues to engineering or maintenance teams.

Operational Logistics:

  • Asset Management: Assist with inventory, check-in, and check-out of vehicle assets, keys, and related equipment.
  • Facility Support: Serve as a point of contact for facility issues, reporting on and assisting with site maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Process Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, operational checklists, and established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure fleet readiness and compliance.

Field Support:

  • Vehicle Recovery: Assist with the safe recovery, disengagement, and relocation of autonomous vehicles that encounter issues in the field.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electronics, and the ability to learn and troubleshoot new technology quickly.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspections, following complex procedures, and data handling.
  • Safety Focus: Unwavering commitment to safety protocols in all depot and field operations.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting issues clearly to technical and non-technical teams.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment (often up to 45–50 lbs), stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
