Role Purpose

Drive the planning and execution of creative, effective acquisition campaigns. Work in cross-functional squads to deliver targeted, measurable campaigns that attract new customers and support commercial growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute acquisition strategies across digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial goals.
  • Create campaign briefs and manage end-to-end delivery of acquisition campaigns, including paid social and digital display, working with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Use data and analytics to identify target cohorts and optimise campaign performance.
  • Ensure all acquisition activity complies with relevant regulatory and brand guidelines.
  • Develop test-and-learn approaches for new acquisition channels and campaign formats, sharing learnings across the team.
  • Collaborate with Product, Commercial, and Data teams to ensure acquisition activity is insight-led and cost-effective.
  • Partner with the Brand & Digital Marketing, Digital and Product teams to ensure acquisition messaging is consistent and compelling across all customer touchpoints.
  • Focus on key acquisition KPIs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of customer acquisition strategies and best practices across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong grasp of the telecoms, utilities, or other consumer-facing sectors, including regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools, CRM systems, and campaign management platforms.
  • Awareness of competitor activity, market trends, and emerging acquisition channels.

Skills:

  • Creative campaign development and test-and-learn mindset.
  • Advanced analytical interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, ensuring cost-effective acquisition.
  • Strong project management skills, able to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously to tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including agency and supplier relationship management.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively within cross-functional squads.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in customer acquisition marketing, ideally in an in-house environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful acquisition campaigns within strict budget parameters.
  • Experience managing external agencies, partners, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to optimise campaign performance and report on KPIs.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
