Your new challenge as Werktuigbouwkundig Engineer. Do you have a sharp technical eye, experience with mechanical engineering designs, and are you ready to lead projects yourself? As a Werktuigbouwkundig Engineer at Qemetica in Farmsum, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical installations and systems.

You will work on various technical projects within our factory for silica production, a modern and growing production environment with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and innovation. You will work daily with colleagues from different disciplines and ensure that designs not only make sense on paper but also in practice.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and developing mechanical components and piping systems according to technical specifications and applicable standards (such as NEN, ASME, EN)
• Creating and modifying technical drawings and schematics with AutoCAD, Plant-3D, Inventor, and Vault
• Performing technical calculations and analyses to substantiate designs
• Leading small projects: from planning to completion, including coordination and reporting
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and internal customers
• Identifying and implementing improvements in existing designs and processes
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards within projects

Required skills:

• HBO work and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Approximately 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably in the chemical or process industry
• Experience with AutoCAD, Plant-3D, Inventor, and Vault
• Experience with leading small projects and creating technical planning
• Knowledge of materials, production methods, and mechanical principles
• Analytical ability, accuracy, and a solution-oriented approach
• Good communication skills and team orientation
• Proactive and independent working style
• Good command of the Dutch language, preferably also English
