Oracle Cloud Solution Engineer

We are looking for an Oracle DBA and Oracle Cloud Solutions Engineer to be an integral part of our growing team. The Cloud solutions engineer is responsible for supporting and managing clients' databases and cloud infrastructure. This includes design, implementation, migration of databases and applications, monitoring, and ensuring the security of clients' cloud infrastructure.

As a key player in our organization, you will undertake important work directly impacting our customers located throughout North America and Europe and advancing our mission to deliver best-in-class Oracle solutions.

Your mission consists of:

• Supporting our client's Oracle environments (databases and applications) according to a 24/7 on-call schedule;
• Ability to map business architectures through cloud technical solutions compliant with industry standards;
• Ability to design cloud infrastructures that answer business needs;
• Contribute to the creation of a cloud infrastructure roadmap and strategies to drive business adoption;
• Define and execute a migration strategy to move workloads onto the cloud;
• The candidate is expected to work during clients' business hours that may be in the North American, European, or other time zones.

Technical skills:

• At least 5 years of proven experience with Oracle Database administration;
• In-depth skills with cloud infrastructure, cloud-native and application development concepts;
• Experience with technology transformation and significant experience with on-premises and cloud solution;
• Experience with Oracle solutions such as Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms / Reports, EBS, WebLogic;
• Experience with technologies such as Docker, Tomcat, etc;
• Experience with the concept of high availability and disaster recovery;
• Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to the cloud technologies is an asset.

• Customer interaction and needs analysis: Strong customer relations skills with a strong ability to understand customer needs and adapt solutions accordingly.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaborating with team members and stakeholders, and for creating clear and concise documentation.
• Multitasking and project management: Proven ability to effectively manage time and priorities to work on multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines.
• Initiative and autonomy: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead projects or problem-solving without excessive supervision.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to identify, troubleshoot, and effectively resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication: Good oral and written communication skills, in French and English, to communicate with clients located all across the world.
