Marketing Team Lead

KKday Korea is seeking a Marketing Team Lead to drive profitability improvement and strengthen expertise in specific travel destinations/product categories, delivering unique value and accelerating growth in the OTA market. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve KKday's marketing objectives, maximizing efficiency with limited resources, and establishing a stable foundation for future growth. We are looking for a leader who makes data-driven decisions, embraces innovative marketing, proactively adapts to changing market conditions, and empowers team members to grow alongside the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profit-Centric Marketing Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies (Paid, Earned, Owned channels, partnerships, DMO collaborations, etc.) to achieve GMV and profit targets.
    • Prioritize ROI (Return on Investment) as the ultimate benchmark for all marketing activities, maximizing efficiency and contributing directly to the bottom line.
    • Secure and leverage external budgets (e.g., DMO/Partner funds) to expand reach and visibility, contributing to actual offline revenue growth.
  • Strengthening Marketing for Specific Travel Destinations and Categories:
    • Formulate and implement specialized marketing plans for key focus travel destinations and product categories.
    • Develop value proposition-driven storytelling and branding strategies that go beyond simple price competition, establishing an expert image for specific destinations/categories and enhancing market awareness.
    • Align marketing efforts with upcoming user experience (UX/UI) updates to boost conversion and customer awareness for these products.
  • Data-Driven Performance Marketing and Channel Optimization:
    • Plan, execute, and analyze Paid channel campaigns with a target ROI, continuously optimizing channel efficiency through ongoing refinement.
    • Develop strategies to accelerate the growth of Earned channels, identifying and collaborating with KOL (Key Opinion Leader) whose audience and content genuinely align with our brand values to expand traffic and brand awareness.
    • Support HQ collaboration on Google/Naver Organic search optimization and the utilization of Structured Data.
    • Drive SEO optimization and content strategies for Owned channels (blog, website, etc.) to efficiently drive traffic and conversions.
  • Lean Organizational Operation and Team Leadership:
    • Foster a fast, transparent, and secure communication environment within a lean team.
    • Cultivate channel management and destination planning capabilities across all team members, facilitating high-frequency communication to discover and disseminate successful formulas.
    • Support and manage each team member's core responsibilities, including destination product revisions (translation quality, price monitoring), DMO/partnership management, and promotion planning and execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Performance Management:
    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Business Development, RD/PM, etc) and global/regional marketing teams to achieve business objectives and create synergy.
    • Analyze marketing performance by setting clear KPIs and continuously monitoring progress, using insights to refine strategies and execution plans.

Qualification:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years in a Marketing Team Lead or similar leadership role.
  • Preferred experiences from OTA, DMO, Partnership, or E-commerce.
  • Proven experience in P&L management and developing/executing performance marketing strategies focused on profitability improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in building expertise in specific product categories/travel destinations and achieving successful results.
  • Strong data analysis skills and a data-driven decision-making mindset (proficiency in analytics tools like GA, SQL, Tableau preferred).
  • Deep understanding of the full spectrum of digital marketing (SEM, SEO, SNS, CRM, influencer marketing, etc.).
  • Ability to strategize and execute efficient marketing activities with limited resources, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive collaboration among team members and cross-functional departments, fostering a flat organizational culture.
  • Highly adaptable to fast-changing market conditions and business objectives, with a proactive and self-driven approach.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in IT/startup/tech-based e-commerce or travel industry marketing.
  • Proven track record of success in challenging business environments or during organizational restructuring.
  • Strong understanding of the online travel platform industry.
  • Fluent in business English for effective communication with global teams.
