About Us
SDU is a modern and innovative university that offers education and research at a high international level. We focus on creating and disseminating new knowledge that shapes the future society, and we systematically work to continuously develop our abilities, organization, and solutions that support our strategic goals. You can read more about SDU's organization and strategy on www.sdu.dk/da/om-sdu.
SDU IT is the hub for the operation and development of IT and digitalization across research, education, knowledge sharing, and administration at SDU. As of January 1, 2025, we have been newly established as a combined unit with over 160 employees distributed across 6 departments and 9 teams.
In line with the rapid digital development, there are also changed conditions for being an IT department. In addition to the classic support needs of the users, delivery of IT solutions, and secure operation, we also have a dedicated focus on process development and user dialogue with the aim of, for example, uncovering potential for efficiency or insights into smarter use of the digital solutions we implement. This requires a strong strategic focus, well-developed internal processes, and a look towards the future so that we can act proactively in the opportunities digitalization offers. As SDU IT, we therefore have a broad focus when we say that we are moving SDU digitally.
