Devops Engineer – Kubernetes Platform & Managed Services

In our agile DevOps team, you will develop and manage a modern Kubernetes-based platform and resilient services like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Kafka for our B2B customers. You will take responsibility for the setup, lifecycle, and reliable operation of this platform and its services. You will rely on automation, GitOps, and tools from the CNCF landscape.

With your passion for container technologies and your enjoyment of working with our customers, you will bring Swisscom and our B2B services to the next level.

Highlights

• Building, operating, and continuously improving our Kubernetes platform and the managed services offered on it
• Ensuring high availability, scalability, and failure safety through robust architecture and automation
• Utilizing the Swisscom Private Cloud as well as public clouds for the deployment of the platform and services
• Using and managing CNCF tools for logging, monitoring, backup, RBAC, security, and other infrastructure components

Your Skills

• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes (CKA or CKAD preferred) and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ArgoCD, Velero, Cilium, Kyverno
• Experience in building and operating container-based platforms and services
• Knowledge in at least one of the technologies: Golang, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Kafka is preferred
• Ability to work independently, team capability, flexibility, and good understanding of agile and lean working methods
• Willingness to perform on-call duty and residence in Switzerland is a must
