Supplier Quality Engineer Intern
Join our team! We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer Intern. This internship position, based in the Quality Department, will support Quality Manager & RGSQ, working closely with the Quality team.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of procurement by overseeing supplier selection, qualification, and development, monitoring performance, managing non-conformities, and collaborating across functions, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and international standards.
In particular, you will support the team in the following activities:
- Management of supplier selection, qualification, and development, through audits, assessments of technical and quality capabilities, and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Monitoring of supplier performance using KPIs (PPM, defects, delivery times) and regular quality review meetings;
- Management of supplier non-conformities, including anomaly analysis, collection and verification of structured reports (8D, RCA), and supervision of containment plans and corrective actions;
- Cross-functional collaboration to support the introduction of new components and the definition of technical specifications and quality requirements, contributing to APQP/PPAP processes;
- Document management and regulatory compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, REACH, RoHS, etc.), through maintenance of certifications and support for internal and external audits.
Availability to undertake short-term national and international travel is required.
Requirements and Skills
- Master’s degree in engineering
- English and Italian languages: fluent in both written and spoken form.
- Office, in particular of MS Excel.
- Proactive attitude and teamwork orientation, with a hands-on and constructive approach to finding structured and effective solutions. Energy, curiosity, and active participation in Quality team dynamics, with a strong desire for continuous learning and growing autonomy.
