Sutter Health is seeking an experienced professional to provide administrative and clinical leadership for an assigned clinical department or program. This role involves establishing and implementing goals, standards, and practices that guide and support patient care initiatives while ensuring the delivery of high-value quality care and exceptional care experiences. The successful candidate will develop and foster partnerships with physicians, medical staff, and Sutter Health leaders to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives, resolve operational challenges, and improve processes.
The position requires working with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system, operating unit, or affiliate goals and initiatives, including business, operations, and/or organizational priorities. The individual will set priorities and allocate resources to align with business objectives and annual plans. Additionally, they will develop and establish the direction of policies and procedures, and set a structure for providing safe, consistent, and effective patient care. The role also involves establishing an overall operating and capital budget with input from the management team, ensuring financial targets are achieved and variances are addressed timely.
The job requires a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification, and RN-Registered Nurse of California licensure. The candidate should have six years of recent relevant experience. Key skills and knowledge include demonstrating clinical proficiency and knowledge to plan and coordinate patient care, working knowledge of state/federal/local and/or accreditation standards and requirements, knowledge of emerging trends and regulatory changes, and solid understanding of operations and workflows.
The position is available for full-time days, Monday to Friday, with no weekend requirements. Benefits are available and the position is exempt with a weekly hour requirement of 40. Employees of Sutter Health may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, which requires managing, storing, preparing, receiving, unpacking, transporting, disposing of, or administering drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.
Pay range is $85.47 to $136.76 per hour. The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.
