Description

Job Title: Payroll Tax Specialist (UKG & UKG Payment Services) - Hybrid Opportunity

This is a hybrid position based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Specialist to manage payroll tax compliance and reporting using UKG Pro and UKG Payment Services. This role ensures accurate payroll tax processing, timely filings, and adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems, tax compliance, and experience working with UKG platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile payroll tax data using UKG Pro and UKG Payment Services.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, withholding, and remittance of payroll taxes at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Monitor and implement changes in tax laws and regulations within the UKG system.
  • Work with UKG to resolve tax discrepancies and respond to tax agency notices.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee tax data.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing payroll tax documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll tax laws and UKG system updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll tax processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency in UKG Pro, UKG Payment Services, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated payroll systems and integrations.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with tax jurisdictions and electronic filing systems.
