Geotechnical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Geotechnical & civil design, analysis and assessment for ground improvement works, foundation, excavation, earth retaining structures, slope, instrumentation and site investigation.
- Plan, design, supervise and coordinate for geotechnical/civil engineering and infrastructural design and site works.
- Civil & structural and geotechnical design, analysis and assessment.
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and codes of practice.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, clients, other consultants, contractors, relevant authorities.
- Assist team leader in maintaining high quality standards of design and supervision.
- Supervision and guiding junior engineers and site staffs.
Requirements
- Degree/Master in geotechnical engineering or its equivalent recognized by PEB.
- At least 3 to 5 years design working experiences in geotechnical engineering projects.
- Familiar with structural & geotechnical design in Eurocodes.
- Well versed in geotechnical design software, e.g. Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, GeoStudio, TEDDS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP 2000 & etc.
- Familiar with authorities submission requirements and project management for civil/infrastructure engineering projects.
- Familiar with ground improvement works (DCM, PVD, surcharge & VF), civil, structural designs and BIM will be in advantage.
