The role
We are looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer - Structure for a Roads and Highways project based in Uthal, Balochistan, Pakistan. The candidate must have experience in supervising structural works on highway projects, particularly bridges and related structures, to ensure quality standards and timely execution.
Perform duties under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Assist the team in the review and approval of structural designs, particularly for bridges, culverts, and related works.
Ensure that construction activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Prepare, review, and submit progress reports while maintaining proper documentation.
Coordinate with stakeholders and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution of structural components.
Identify and resolve technical issues on-site related to structural works, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines and quality.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
Tertiary qualifications Bachelors in Civil Engineering, preferably Masters in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 12 years of overall professional experience, including at least 8 years of relevant experience supervising highways projects in the role of ARE Structure.
Good knowledge of structural design standards and quality control procedures.
Additional relevant trainings/certifications will be an advantage.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
