QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. This role balances manual testing rigor with scalable automation development, contributing to both product stability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated) based on complex requirements.
- Conduct exploratory and functional testing for new features, especially data visualization dashboards and real-time alerting systems.
- Identify, document, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle using Jira. Perform in-depth analysis of non-conforming software.
- Manage test cases, organize test cycles, and generate reports using TestRail.
- Execute manual and scripted API tests using Postman to validate functionality.
- Support performance testing initiatives where needed, contributing to test execution and analysis.
Automation Development & Scaling
- Develop and maintain reusable, scalable automation scripts using Python, Selenium, and pytest within our custom framework.
- Automate functional, regression, and integration tests for both UI and API layers.
- Contribute to CI/CD improvements by integrating automated tests with Jenkins for continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Troubleshoot automation framework issues and resolve blockers efficiently.
Agile Collaboration & Reporting
- Work within an Agile/Scrum team, participating in planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure features are testable and stable.
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings, metrics, and risks to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of QA experience, including manual and automation testing.
- Strong experience with Python, Selenium, pytest, Jira, TestRail, Postman, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing (UI & API).
- Experience with performance testing, preferably using K6.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
