Routine analysis of process parameters, production reports & laboratory data. Optimize production processes and troubleshooting procedures. Evaluate process performance addressing deficiencies, identifying improvements opportunities. Optimize Efficiencies, waste reduction & Conversion Cost Control Chemicals and Additives used within the process to optimize Cost. Full Ownership of Compliant Pro and Control Documents for the Distillery Department Work within assigned capital budget to prioritize implementation of projects. Directly lead ISO and 5 S initiatives within the distillery department Direct Supervisors and other Team members in implementing HACCP, Protect the Castle and GMP Programs Lead Production Team in Root Cause Analysis & Process Troubleshooting Benchmarking inside/outside industry standards regarding Process Performance, Safety, Sustainability & Energy Usage Lead and coordinate between the laboratory testing and operating needs Lead in evaluation in new methods of grain conversion, fermentation, yeast propagation, CO2 Capture, CIP, Distillation Lead departmental objectives to achieve targets and savings. Ensure measuring equipment used in the department are properly calibrated according to the IMS documentation. Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications. Write technical reports and analysis to support design submissions. Management of deliverables and project execution Lead Process & utilities designs upgrades and improvements Work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams Maintain detailed understanding of local codes and standards applicable to industry and projects. Lead and Manage in-house Projects and Capital Projects Implementation Knowledge of post-implementation continuous improvement efforts and methodology Lead and Manage the Value Engineering of fluid and bulk materials handling processes including preparation of process flow diagrams, heat and material balances and P&IDs
B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering or Biochemical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Leading & Supervising Production Teams in food and beverage with 2 years focused on Process Improvement and Continuous Development Projects within the industry. Proficiency in Analyzing laboratory results. Proficiency in SOP, LOTO and Documents Control Computer literate – Microsoft Office, SAP, Compliant Pro, SCADA Strong attention to detail with ability to deliver under pressure. Strong leadership, relationship management, and organizational planning and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledge Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, listening and interpersonal with the ability to transfer knowledge to others. Versatility in disciplines other than the one academically trained – Mechanical and Electrical
