Ford-Gelatt – Outside Sales & Sales Management / Hybrid

Ford-Gelatt, a SunSource company, supplies industrial process equipment to the process industries with a focus on adding value. Our team at Ford-Gelatt is technically sound and highly experienced with industry leading brands. We provide technical added-value in equipment sales in Louisiana, Mississippi, and SE Texas.

In this position you will develop new business through direct sales of fluid process equipment. You will be supported by our highly knowledgeable customer service team and supportive managers who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals. We seek an individual with a competitive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

This role will manage sales from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Experience, Education and Skills:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2 year technical, industrial and/or engineering degree is preferred
  • 2+ years of industrial sales experience focused on industrial pumps / fluid process equipment
  • Experience calling into chemical plants, refineries, and papermills is preferred.
  • Ability to establish, build, and maintain business relationships.
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), and ability to learn and effectively use a CRM system is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Overnight travel may be required
