Sales Assistant

Summerset Marine Construction has been providing a full range of lakefront services to its customers in Southeastern Wisconsin since 1990. As the largest pier and lift dealer in Wisconsin, Summerset has grown over the years along with its customers' needs, able to provide the expertise and products necessary for the perfect waterfront solution. Servicing hundreds of clients from Madison to Milwaukee, Summerset Marine provides the highest level of expertise to design, install and support any pier and boat lift system, always on call for any service needs.

About the Role

The Sales Assistant provides vital support to the sales team by handling administrative duties and responding to customer inquiries. This role is essential to ensuring that sales operations remain organized, efficient, and customer-focused. High attention to detail is necessary in this position.

What You'll Do

  1. Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing documents, maintaining records, and updating customer information.
  2. Assist with customer inquiries by answering questions and routing requests to the appropriate sales associate.
  3. Perform general office tasks such as data entry and organizing sales-related documents.
  4. Make outbound calls to leads to share product information and schedule follow-ups.
  5. Conduct cold calls to potential customers under the guidance of the sales team.
  6. Support sales associates with day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  7. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
  8. Contribute to maintaining an organized and customer-focused sales environment.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in business, sales, or office administration preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, office support, or sales assistance is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in making phone calls.
  • Comfortable with outbound calling and engaging with potential customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
