Avionics/Sensors Engineer

Seeking a top notch avionics/sensors engineer who is ready to work as part of a team of subject matter experts. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as candidate will work closely with USAF and F-16 senior leaders, foreign military sales customers, higher headquarters staff, and other key stakeholders associated with FMS production and modernization programs.

Candidate will work as part of a team of SMEs to assist F-16 FMS country teams and the Government engineering staff on a wide variety of engineering, acquisition and program protection tasks in support of aircraft production and modification efforts. Duties include:

  • Assist the Government in the development, implementation and execution of integration and acquisition strategies for multiple F-16 USAF, FMS programs.
  • Support translation of customer requirements into acquisition program requirements and support requirements development for hardware and software including F-16 PVI development.
  • Support sensor development and integration engineering, and overall F-16 systems engineering for F-16 OFP software and hardware development, integration, test and fielding. Assist with development of Systems Engineering Master Plans (SEMP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), and review contractor reports.
  • Support ground and flight test anomaly resolution and troubleshooting for F-16 sensor integration and development programs.
  • Support F-16 Information Assurance (IA) and Anti-Tamper (AT) program to include IA and AT program requirements and solutions.
  • Support fighter platform avionics sensor integration including fire control, stores management, pilot displays, electronic warfare defensive equipment, and other avionic subsystem integration and test.

Education: Master's Degree highly desired.

  • Master's Degree and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.

Experience: Recommend 15 years of F-16 fighter weapons systems integration program office experience with detailed knowledge of all USAF and FMS configurations to address requirements. Recommend multi-discipline expertise. Recommend at least fifteen years of experience of fighter platform avionic sensor development/integration engineering (minimum of 10 years). Shall support F-16 USAF, and FMS systems integration and configuration knowledge in order to identify integration and performance methods and risks. Travel: Yes
