About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to join our SMB team to engage with a diverse array of small to mid-sized customer and prospect organizations (<200 employees) across all sectors and industries in Australia. You'll help these enterprises reimagine how they serve customers and transform their Sales, Service, Marketing, and Commerce operations. You will leverage the full power of the Salesforce platform, with a focus on AI, automation, and real-time data. In this role, you'll perform business discovery, shape compelling solution narratives, and deliver high-impact presentations - from building live demos with the Salesforce platform, to designing advanced AI solutions - like autonomous agents that streamline customer service - and running C-level workshops. You'll be hands-on, working closely with sales, delivery, and product teams to shape programs that deliver measurable value for customers. You'll be key to demonstrating how Salesforce uniquely combines CRM, AI, and Data with a foundation of Trust, helping customers unlock the full value of the platform, incorporating Slack, Tableau & MuleSoft. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives and customer stakeholders to uncover strategic objectives, business and market dynamics and technical challenges across their organization
  • Design highly relevant, differentiated, multi-domain solutions that combine Salesforce technologies with AI, automation, data and integration capabilities
  • Conduct discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders from business, IT, and executive teams to understand and quantify the unique business value Salesforce solutions offer them
  • Build and deliver powerful and memorable solution demonstrations with rich storytelling and industry-relevant insights to align stakeholders, illustrate value and inspire confidence in execution
  • Nurture strong connections with customers throughout the sales process and beyond, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Focus on continual learning across Salesforce's product suite and contribute to a growing knowledge base of reusable assets and reference solutions, particularly in AI and agentic use cases

A Typical Day in the Life

  • Join your aligned Sales team's meeting to celebrate a recent win, strategize a new sales play and share some recent product updates.
  • Conduct a customer discovery session to understand their current state, strategic goals, requirements and business value drivers
  • Join a colleague to rehearse a presentation to the board of a key account scheduled later in the week
  • Deliver a live demo for a prospective customer, highlighting how Salesforce's AI and Data solutions can address their business challenges
  • Attend an enablement session led by Product Managers on new soon-to-be-released features and how to configure & demo them
  • Share reusable assets, templates and a short-form video covering a novel solution you have developed to scale your impact for sales teams and customers
  • End the day by using AI tools to summarize and document activity, feedback and insights from customer interactions in Salesforce CRM and plan for tomorrow!

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver business solutions with SaaS platforms
  • Experience with technology and transformation projects, in particular from a business-value perspective
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical stakeholders as well as business owners and C-level executives
  • Practical understanding of modern application architectures, integration patterns, and cloud platform capabilities
  • A bias for action — comfortable prototyping new ideas, working hands-on with product, and self-directed learning on new tools & technical concepts, business domains and industries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of partnering with Sales stakeholders to exceed targets and drive customer success in a pre-sales, consulting or delivery setting
  • Practical experience and/or certifications in Salesforce technologies including CRM, Platform & Automation (Lightning, Flow), Data Cloud, and AI features (Einstein, Agentforce)
  • Familiarity with the small business IT & SaaS landscape, particularly in the domains of Sales Automation, Customer Service, Marketing Automation and/or eCommerce
  • Exposure to, or interest in, agentic workflows, AI orchestration, or automation tools (e.g. conversational agents, LLM-integrated applications)
  • Passion for learning, curiosity, innovation and a drive to stay ahead in a rapidly changing technology landscape
