Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword — it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Slack is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end features for our developer tooling, slack built apps and other developer ecosystem related projects. We are a deeply collaborative team working across product, design, and other engineering teams. We value engineers who are pragmatic in their technology choices, thoughtful in system design, and who balance simplicity, reliability, and long-term maintainability in everything they build.

The Platform Developer Experience team is responsible for being the voice of the Slack Developer. We build tooling that developers use to make integrations for Slack. We are a group of generalists who are comfortable jumping between different languages. We are actively involved on GitHub, where we share updates of our tooling and respond to developer feedback. We're looking for people who are passionate about crafting a phenomenal developer experience for all developers wanting to build on the Slack Platform.

As a Full Stack Senior Engineer on the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet evolving business needs. You'll use your extensive knowledge of web development concepts and problem solving skills to deliver robust solutions. You will collaborate closely with other platform teams to spec, conceptualize, build, test and deploy features and solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Partner with Product Managers and Designers to ideate, build, and launch new features for our developer ecosystem
  • Work on Slack Apps in the app directory, adding new features and making security fixes
  • Create automated testing processes to speed up development time
  • Establish high engineering standards through code quality, system design, and reusable architectural patterns
  • Support production excellence by partnering with Customer Experience teams to triage and resolve issues
  • Mentor engineers and provide thoughtful, in-depth code reviews

What you should have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping web applications and developer tooling
  • Proficient in JS, Typescript, and Python.
  • Understanding of what it takes to build library-level code and not just application-level code
  • Excitement to participate in the broader community and not just with other engineers at Slack
  • Empathy for the 3rd party developers you serve
  • Hands-on experience with API design and development.
  • Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment.
  • Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff.
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy.
  • Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve.
  • Familiarity with AI Assisted Development
  • A related technology degree required

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Hack and XHP.
  • Experience with Java, Go
  • Experience with web analytics, SEO, and data-driven optimization.
  • Experience building Slack Apps
  • Experience using of the AI

Slack has a positive, diverse, and supportive culture—we look for people who are curious, inventive, and work to be a little better every single day. In our work together we aim to be smart, humble, hardworking and, above all, collaborative. If this sounds like a good fit for you, why not say hello?

When you join Salesforce, you'll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best. Together, we'll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future — but to redefine what's possible — for yourself, for AI, and the world.
