About the Role

The Professional Services Global Commercial Office is responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy that accelerates the adoption of Salesforce's Professional Services offerings. As a Director, Professional Services Sales Strategy, you will serve as a senior individual contributor and strategic partner to Sales, Professional Services, and Product leadership. In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities, build scalable sales frameworks, and partner with the Sales Excellence and Enablement and Offerings functions to ensure our sales teams are equipped to effectively position and sell our services. This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role that requires strong business acumen, a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of the Professional Services and SaaS landscape.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and own the annual and quarterly go-to-market strategy for Professional Services, including sales plays.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and refine existing sales strategies.
  • Leverage sales data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with the Professional Services Offerings team in the Global Commercial Office to provide strategic support for new and existing offerings.

Program Management & Execution

  • Lead a portfolio of strategic programs and initiatives that enable the sales organization to effectively sell Professional Services.
  • Partner with the Sales Excellence and Enablement function to execute and operationalize sales programs and enablement initiatives.
  • Proactively recommend, design, and manage sales contests and incentive programs to drive desired sales behaviors and outcomes.
  • Analyze contest performance and provide data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Establish and manage program governance, success metrics, and reporting to ensure alignment and accountability across all stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Executive Alignment

  • Influence and align senior stakeholders globally across Sales, Operations, and Marketing to drive execution readiness.
  • Present business insights, program progress, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on a regular basis.
  • Partner with Professional Services and Product leaders to align on priorities and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in sales strategy, professional services, or a related go-to-market role within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proven experience as a senior individual contributor, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs with significant business impact.
  • Deep expertise in sales strategy, program management, and business analysis.
  • Exceptional executive presence, with the ability to influence and align senior leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of Professional Services and the SaaS business model, including sales cycles, revenue models, and customer success motions.
  • Experience with Salesforce's products and ecosystem is strongly preferred.

Preferred Attributes

  • A strategic operator who excels at bridging high-level vision with detailed, data-driven execution.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable navigating complex datasets to find the signal in the noise.
  • A master collaborator who can build strong relationships and drive alignment across diverse and sometimes competing interests.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and is skilled at navigating ambiguity.
