Safety Engineer For Mobile Roboters

Job Description

Are you ready for the technology of tomorrow? Then join our team at the Sulzbach-Rosenberg location and take on the following exciting tasks:

  • Ensure that our mobile robots can be developed and operated safely and efficiently and meet the relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., DIN EN ISO 3691-4).
  • Identify and analyze potential hazards in the system of mobile robotics and assess the associated risks.
  • Develop functional and technical safety concepts and implement safety measures to minimize risks (e.g., by integrating speed limits, safety sensors, and emergency stop systems) in close coordination with the software and hardware teams.
  • Select suitable, safety-relevant components (e.g., sensors, controllers, and safety lighting) and be responsible for the verification and validation of the safety concept.
  • Train employees in the safe use of mobile robotics systems and advise on topics of product safety and conformity assessment in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Completed technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in the development and/or implementation of safety concepts (e.g., in terms of risk assessment, conformity assessment)
  • Ideally experience with safety-related standards and regulations for driverless transport systems or mobile robotics systems (e.g., DIN EN ISO 3691-4, Machinery Directive, Machinery Ordinance)
  • Ideally experience with FMEA, safety PLC
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and customer-oriented thinking
  • Structured, systematic, and independent working style
  • Good German and English skills in writing and speaking
