Analytics Engineer – A Key Role In Our Central Data Developer Environment

In Storebrand, we have long worked data-driven – and now we are taking a new step. We are establishing a central data developer environment that will bring together and strengthen the competence across business areas.

As an Analytics Engineer, you will be part of an environment with high professional weight and great business understanding. You will be involved in further developing our modern data platform and contribute to strengthening and developing how we work with data and insights across the entire insight work in the Business Market.

What will you be part of?

You will be a key person in a business-oriented professional environment that will develop and manage data-driven solutions across the entire Business Market. You will work closely with both business and technology environments and contribute to building bridges between data and insight. Together, we will ensure that the entire company has faster and more comprehensive access to data, and that we make better and more precise decisions. You will be involved in shaping how we work with data in Storebrand.

This is what you will work with:

• Further development and management of data warehouses and analysis platforms in the cloud
• Development of semantic data foundations and data models for reporting and insight
• Use of modern data technology such as SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Power BI, and cloud solutions in line with the development of our platforms
• Close collaboration with the business side to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribution to good data architecture and best practices in data development
• Participation in exciting initiatives and projects across the group
• Sharing of expertise and collaboration with analysts, developers, and data scientists

Who are you?

We believe you will succeed in the position if you have an education in IT or technology, and a strong interest in how data creates insight and value. You are motivated by combining professional competence with commercial understanding. Experience with databases and data transformations, as well as knowledge of dbt and semantic modeling, is an advantage.

You are curious, solution-oriented, and thrive in cross-functional teams. You understand the business needs and are able to translate them into technical solutions. You communicate well in both Norwegian and English, and work structured – both independently and together with others.

We are looking for someone who is engaged in developing processes and models, preferably using technology. You thrive in a high-paced environment and collaboration across disciplines, and are motivated by presenting results in a pedagogical and simple way. Experience from the pension and insurance industry, consulting, or similar companies is an advantage, but not a requirement.
