Technical Sales Specialist

We are now looking for a fixed term paternity leave Technical Sales Specialist to join our Nordic Sales Team. You will be responsible for elaborating requests for quotation and providing professional technical advice in the mass timber building components field.

Your location will be in our Gruvön Mill, our Head Office in Helsinki or home office and you will be working in the Wood Products North Business Area. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will report directly to the Sales Director for the Nordics, Building Solutions. You belong to a team with members located in different locations across the Nordics.

Technical Sales Specialist is the key point of contact for our business developer managers and sales managers, answering queries, providing technical advice, and preparing quantity take-offs as the basis for new offers.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Follows the pre-defined processes for Building Solution offers and cost estimations
  • Understand the customer needs based on drawings, sketches and/or other relevant project information
  • Provides pre-sales support to sales managers and business developers by creating: scheme designs, preliminary structural calculations, 3D CAD models, quantity take-offs, and basic feasibility studies.
  • Uses specific pricing tools to calculate prices for value-added products (e.g. CLT rib panels)
  • Maintains and updates data in the CRM system to enable offer management and follow-up
  • Provide the best technical advice on building components per application based on drawings and/or other information provided by customers
  • Implements basic offer information to Stora Enso Wood Products' to the ERP system (WPS) to allow for data processing by other departments
  • Reporting of time required for request elaboration

We are looking for a person, who is proactive and has a customer-focused attitude. You also have the ability to analyze customer information and to find suitable solutions. You have experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Cadwork etc.). Your proficiency is based on a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or another relevant area. Experience in Timber construction is an asset.

You have good and fluent communication skills in both spoken and written in English and either Swedish or Finnish. You are a great communicator with excellent negotiation skills and you are a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
