Food Service Assistant

Rivers Health is seeking a Food Service Assistant who will be able to assist:

1. Responsible for assembling patient meals on tray line.
2. Sets up patient tray line for service.
3. Washes dishes, pots, and pans.
4. Maintains proper sanitation standards with washing equipment.
5. Prepares cold food and garnishes patient meals.
6. Operates and uses food service equipment (including cash register) to established procedures.
7. Responsible for effective use of materials (portion control).
8. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plates, utensils and small wares.
9. Other duties as assigned.
10. Pushes patient food carts to floors at breakfast and lunch (dinner as needed).
11. Complies with Hospital Policies, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Personnel Employee Handbook.
12. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills.
13. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration.
14. Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams.
