This diversity of capabilities presents a range of roles through which you can contribute to the development of innovative, secure, and patented products. Join our team and play a crucial role in developing tomorrow's technology and connectivity solutions and services to sectors spanning defence, public security, government, and the commercial realm. Your work will have a global impact as we empower customers through advanced communications, intelligent sensors, and the deployment of AI-enabled Edge applications for mission-critical roles.

Your Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Senior / Opto-Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems—from concept to deployment. In this role, you will translate operational needs into robust system designs, define architecture and performance requirements, and drive integration across optical, mechanical, electronic, and software domains. You will play a key role in prototyping, system validation, and field deployment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and integration of opto-mechanical subsystems for advanced laser and electro-optics systems, including optical mounts, enclosures, alignment mechanisms, thermal management, and vibration isolation.
  • Perform tolerance, structural, and thermal analyses using simulation tools to ensure mechanical stability and robustness of design.
  • Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and precision alignment of opto-mechanical subsystems, ensuring manufacturability and field readiness.
  • Perform prototyping, integration, environmental testing, ruggedisation, and optimisation for mobile or fixed deployment platforms.
  • Collaborate with system, electronics, and optical engineers to ensure mechanical designs meet performance and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, including design records, test reports, and validation data, ensuring compliance with configuration management and industry standards.

Qualities We Value:

  • Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in opto-mechanical design for precision systems, preferably in defense, aerospace, or photonics industries.
  • Strong background in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
  • Familiar with optical alignment methods, thermal and vibration management for sensitive optical assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience in optical alignment and integration is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of optical-mechanical interface requirements.
  • Structured, detail-oriented mindset for engineering documentation and system integration.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across optical, electronics, and systems teams.
  • Proactive in problem-solving and field support during testing or deployment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared objectives.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in both lab and field settings.
  • Team-Oriented Mindset: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared objectives.
  • Effective Communication: Clear and concise communication across engineering and management levels.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with agile development, prototyping, and evolving requirements in R&D environments.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in both lab and field settings.
  • Accountability: Ownership of tasks from concept to integration, with a high standard for quality and safety.
  • Singaporean only

Our Commitment: An environment where you will be working on cutting-edge technologies and architectures. Safe space where diverse perspectives are valued, and everyone's unique contributions are celebrated. Meaningful work and projects that make a difference in people's lives. A fun, passionate and collaborative workplace. Competitive remuneration and comprehensive benefits.
