As a Mechanical Engineer in the Mobile-C4I Platform Division of our Defence Comms Business Unit, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and optimisation of advanced mobile command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) solutions. Your expertise will help strengthen reliable communication platforms that are critical to defence operations and national security.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the mechanical design of mobile platforms and the support structure of the subsystems.
• Responsible for the sizing of air conditioning and ventilation systems, selection of generator, and shock and vibration mounts for onboard equipment of mobile platform.
• Generate safety assessment report that covers the hazard analysis, structural integrity, mobility stability, and tie-down analysis of the mobile platform system.
• Conduct tests (Road Trial Tests) on the mobile platform system to ascertain the platform structural and mobility safety.
• Responsible and support the customer for the clearance of safety forum with their safety committee.
• Responsible for the prototype fabrication (work with contractor) of mobile platforms.
• Responsible for the analytical evaluation of the structural integrity and the cooling & ventilation adequacy of the mobile shelter designs

Qualities we value include:

• Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Some or good knowledge in mobile platform design, human engineering design (HFE), shock and vibration design, mobility analysis, and air conditioning & ventilation design.
• Familiar with 3D CAD - SolidWorks.
• Some or good knowledge of GD&T.
• Some or good knowledge of FEA and CFD simulation software.
• Some experiences in mechanical manufacturing process and materials selection pertaining to the relevant field.
• Singaporean only.
