Secure Configuration Management Data Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and solution-oriented Data Engineer to support the Secure Configuration Management (SCM) program. This role is ideal for someone who can work across large, complex data sets and design scalable solutions that help transform raw scan outputs, asset inventories, and configuration data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate understands both technical controls and business reporting needs, and can build pipelines and logic that improve accuracy, traceability, and compliance visibility.
Data Aggregation and Normalization:
- Aggregate and correlate configuration scan data across platforms and tooling sources
- Map results to correct asset records, platform types, and configuration baselines
- Normalize naming conventions and resolve duplication/inconsistency across data sets
Pipeline Development and Engineering Support:
- Build and maintain automated pipelines to support continuous data ingestion and reporting
- Ensure alignment between scan results, CMDB records, and reporting frameworks
- Partner with scanning and baseline teams to ensure data quality and consistency
Insights Generation and Reporting
- Generate meaningful metrics around compliance status, drift, and remediation progress
- Enable prioritization of findings via tagging, severity grouping, and ownership mapping
- Support dashboarding and visualization of compliance posture across business units
Collaboration and Program Alignment:
- Work closely with compliance analysts, engineers, and GTS stakeholders to support reporting requirements
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests, audit pulls, and program metric inquiries
- Drive process improvement around data validation, asset traceability, and reporting reliability
Core/Must Have Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or infrastructure reporting roles
- 7+ years of experience with data processing solutions such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Splunk
- Strong SQL, Python, or similar scripting experience for data manipulation
- Familiarity with configuration scanning tools and asset inventory systems
- Understanding of secure configuration and compliance programs
- Experience building data pipelines or integrations across multiple systems
- Ability to translate technical data into business-relevant, actionable insights
- Proficiency in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, conveying data insights effectively
- Skilled in implementing algorithms and models that facilitate data aggregation and correlation
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, NIST
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in security, compliance, or risk programs
- Experience defining, building, and reporting complex reports and dashboards for leadership consumption
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid infrastructure data environments

As a Program Data Engineer, you will help centralize and normalize data across multiple sources – including CMDB, compliance scan tools, and platform inventories – and support the creation of dashboards, KPIs, and risk heatmaps. Your work ensures that leadership has clear, reliable visibility into compliance posture and that technical teams can act on meaningful insights. You will also partner with control owners, compliance leads, and GTS reporting teams to drive transparency, alignment, and risk-based prioritization
Salary Range: $110,000 - $177,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
