Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Public Service Representative 3 position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Personal Tax & Compliance Division in the Compliance Unit. This position is in our Bend office and is an in-office position five days a week.
In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon. Current Revenue employees who live outside of Oregon may apply and will be considered.

We offer bilingual differential pay, which is an extra 5% of the employee's base pay and is contingent on passing the required language test. What You Will Be Doing
- Independently assist the public over the phone, through correspondence, email and in person with over 30 tax programs administered by the Department.
- Independently answers questions and advises the public on rules, laws, policies and procedures for Department administered tax programs.
- Research tax records and interpret data relating to the individual taxpayers' unique circumstances.
- Receives payments from taxpayers and the public on current and delinquent tax accounts.
- Apply payments for the current year, prior year, estimated and amended taxes.
This Is What You Need To Qualify
Two years of experience in customer service. One year of which must have included explanation of rules, regulations, and policies and responsibility for dealing with unique or unusual situations.

- Ability to work independently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Self-motivated and able to meet numerous deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work as a team member with the willingness to collaborate, share information, and contribute to the team's success.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

- The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
