Position Highlights
The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a Judicial Assistant for the Honorable Michael Greenlick (Court Operations Associate).
In this role…
Much of your workday will be spent communicating on behalf of the judge with probationers, stakeholders, parties to cases and their attorneys. You will monitor compliance with required conditions for people on bench probation and communicate to the judge when a probationer is out of compliance. You will prepare supporting documents and orders as required, as well as a variety of other correspondence and legal documents. You may occasionally be required to review legal quotes and citations. You will enter and retrieve information from the court's case management system, and route electronic documents through workflows to the appropriate persons. You will also use electronic calendars and tracking systems to schedule court events for the judge, and to monitor case status.
You will use established laws, rules, guidelines, and procedures to perform your work. You will need to meet statutory and other legal deadlines for specific cases. You must be able to recognize and safeguard confidential information, because you may be faced with sensitive, controversial, upsetting, or confidential information while performing your duties.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent AND at least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents OR any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Parking
Multnomah County Circuit Court does not provide parking for the central courthouse or justice center staff. Daily parking is available across SW 1st St from the central courthouse (monthly parking is limited). Another option is the Douglas Garage at 1835 S River Dr, Portland, OR 97204. Parking cost is $165/month and is a half-mile from the courthouse and justice center.
