Duties Description
This is a trail maintenance position. The incumbent will be required to carry heavy tools and equipment over rugged terrain for a long period of time. Will perform unskilled physical work requiring limited or no training; may frequently work outdoors in inclement weather; may use hand tools and operate motor driven equipment and generally perform activities as part of a work crew. Experience using a chainsaw is desired but not necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
There is no education or experience qualifications. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.

This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Must be able to work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
