Structural Engineering Co-op Student Opportunity

We are excited to announce that an opportunity exists for a Structural Engineering Co-op Student within our Buildings Group for a term of 8 months starting January 2026.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to engineers and technologists.
  • Use knowledge of the general concepts of relevant structural engineering elements.
  • Prepare drawings and reports for relevant project design elements.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam and Revit to assist with preparation of drawings is an asset.
  • Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects.
  • Review and respond to construction shop drawings and RFI's.
  • Assist with field review of structural elements during construction.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Highly motivated, willing to work in a team-oriented environment, and ready to commit to Stantec's strategic initiative to be among the top 10 global design firms. Excellent communication skills are essential, including interpersonal and verbal abilities within a multi-discipline team environment. Must be well organized to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments. Excel, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, and programming languages such as Dynamo, Python and C# considered an asset.

Education and Experience: 3rd or 4th year students with availability for an 8-month internship are encouraged to apply. Prior relevant experience is a definite asset. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
