Stantec's Aviation group is looking for a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer/Manager to join our practice in the Portland, ME office! We are seeking a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer/Manager to be a senior contributor on our professional consulting services team. This individual will actively participate in the development of proposals and marketing materials using your specialized knowledge of electrical systems, FAA and Military airfield lighting design criteria, and industry standards. As a strong leader, the chosen candidate will be leading and mentoring others as well as collaborating with stakeholders in the development of top tier project deliverables. As a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer/Manager, you will work collaboratively on the design of projects of various complexity and act as a subject matter expert providing technical advice and guidance to other team members, particularly as it relates to airfield electrical design and airport navigational aids. Specific responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 20+ years of experience working within the airport engineering consulting field and in the preparation of design documents that comply with FAA design and Military design criteria with regard to airfield lighting and navigational aids. Technical expert in all relevant areas of airport electrical design and understanding of various design methods. Advanced knowledge of airfield lighting design, NAVAIDS, Airfield Lighting Control & Management Systems, and airfield electrical infrastructure design. Highly effective in building and maintaining client relationships. Thorough knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements, FAA and Military Airfield design criteria, and industry standards. Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others. Demonstrated ability to work closely with aviation leadership team in support of Stantec's aviation vision and business goals/objectives. Ability to work in a typical office environment with computers and sit, stand, and walk for significant periods of time. Ability to navigate and walk on uneven terrain during field inspection or site visits and withstand exposure to normal weather conditions including inclement weather. This position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
