The Process/Chemical Engineer will be responsible for process systems, process-mechanical, Bulk Gas delivery and PSSS (VHP/Gas/Chemical), Industrial Waste lift, collection and treatment, and UPW (make-up, primary, and polish loop) systems for multiple ongoing projects through all phases including programming, schematic, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and project close-out.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Client interface
  • Generate and track project delivery schedule
  • Develop and allocate fees for engineering work
  • Tracking budgets throughout design
  • Facilitate design of engineering plans from preliminary through construction phases
  • Perform analysis and design of industrial buildings/projects
  • Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for non-technical audience explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making
  • Review and produce plans and specifications for compliance with industry codes, standards and guidelines
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, multi-discipline teams, contractors and governmental agency personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients as a project manager or engineering lead
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. or the ability to gain licensure within 1 year of start date
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks and pipe stress software, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interface
  • BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5-10 years of experience with process, waste, and ultrapure water (UPW) systems in the semiconductor, petrochemical, or bio/pharmaceutical industries

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
