On the back of plenty of project wins and a solid forward workload, we are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing and diverse water team in our Wellington or Petone office – both have a fantastic view and waterfront location! This is an exciting opportunity to further your career as part of an international leader in infrastructure. You will join an established multi-disciplined team and have the technical support of our extensive design resources based in New Zealand and across the world. You will be applying your technical knowledge, working alongside experienced and up & coming specialists around the country to deliver sustainable and commercially viable engineering solutions for our clients across New Zealand. You will contribute to development of proposals for clients as well as developing business from a local client base. In addition, as a Principal Civil Engineer you will:
You will be an experienced Civil Engineer with a proven track record of successfully delivering stormwater, water and/or wastewater projects and working collaboratively with clients and colleagues across the country. You'll be a confident communicator with an engineering tertiary qualification plus 10 or more years' experience, able to develop strong internal and external client relationships, carry out all aspects of project delivery and oversight of technical delivery, including client and stakeholder consultation and negotiation when required. Your own self-management skills will be as important as your technical and project delivery ones. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with our clients' and colleague's both locally and across the broader Stantec business.
