The Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical guides the mechanical technical design of projects as subject matter expert, mentor, and resource to the technical team. Position delegates, leads, and directs work of Project Engineers and Designers. Role will conceptualize, execute, and ensure quality throughout the design process to meet our clients' needs and expectations.
Possess extensive knowledge of theory and practical engineering, design, architecture and construction. Possess a thorough knowledge of engineering practices in the group and a basic knowledge of engineering principles of other disciplines, including civil, structural and architectural. Demonstrates current knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and accepted industry practices of design and construction within the field. Exhibits excellent analytical, problem resolution, project management and training skills; very organized and attention given to detail and accuracy; flexible and collaborative. Demonstrates strong leadership ability to deliver quality results. Possess excellent interpersonal skills in working collaboratively and building effective relationships between teams to foster a positive team environment across the organization. Understands technical project issues and can offer concepts for a workable solution. Understands the roles and responsibilities of all members of the group within the discipline. Sets the model for leadership and teamwork that earns the trust and respect of their peers. Thoroughly understands all of Company's scope of services and utilizes them ("5x"). Possess strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level technical decision-maker; articulates ideas and solutions clearly when dealing with complex and uncertain situations. Demonstrates initiative, self-discipline, a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Holds themself to the highest level of accountability to the company, team and client.
Accredited engineering degree (required). Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or similar license (required). Applicable experience in the Industry for 15+ years or ESD employee for 10+ years (required). Professional Certification based on area of expertise (preferred).

Locations in CO, HI, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $112,300.00 - Max Salary $168,500.00
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
