Role Overview

You will report to the Marketing Team Lead for Water and work with a broad team of marketing professionals, visual communication designers, digital and promotional specialists, and public relations experts to build brand awareness and identify market growth opportunities. This role requires collaboration with marketing and technical staff to meet aggressive deadlines and lead teams to prepare winning proposals, engaging presentations, and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pursuits. Partner with key water business developers to create high-impact proposal and qualification submissions that differentiate our expertise through effective storytelling/writing, layout/graphics, proposal management, and RFP/RFQ compliance.
  • Interview and Client Presentations. Lead and coach teams through interviews and preparation of client presentations including PowerPoint slides and printed collateral materials.
  • Content Creation. Develop qualification materials (project descriptions, resumes, capability statements, etc.), brochures/flyers, award submissions, and other communications in line with Stantec's visual brand and written voice.
  • Marketing Systems. Promote the consistent use of Stantec's internal marketing and business development databases in support of data integrity (information related to our people, projects, pursuits, and promotional activities).
  • Account Management. Support client development and account management efforts. Partner with business developers to achieve client goals by maintaining an up-to-date account management plan and assigning team responsibilities.
  • Client Outreach. Collaborate with key business developers on client-facing events, conferences/tradeshows, digital campaigns, targeted publications, promotional activities, company website, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.

Capabilities

- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong prioritization, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based interfaces.

- Strong writing and editing skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong coordination and facilitation skills, especially for positioning, proposals, interviews, and client presentations.

- Cooperative team member who can work independently and with a large team, both in-person and virtually.

Education and Experience

- Post-secondary education in marketing, English, communications, journalism, business, or equivalent level of experience.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

- Marketing professional in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry preferred. Experience involving proposal work and marketing materials for other industries will be considered.

- Knowledge of water engineering (water resources, wastewater treatment, water reuse, etc.) is a plus, but not required.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
