Freelance Contract And Drafting Writer

Stantec is looking for an experienced freelance contract and drafting writer to temporarily strengthen the team on civil engineering projects. You will translate technical input into executable RAW drafts and contract documents, and contribute to the quality of work preparation and procurement. Tasks and responsibilities include:

• Drafting RAW drafts and contract documents for infrastructure projects
• Translating design, research, and technical input into executable contracts
• Drafting cost estimates (operations, management, etc.)
• Advising on contract forms and procurement strategies
• Identifying risks and advising on management measures
• Collaborating with designers, project leaders, and external partners
• Contributing to knowledge development within the team

Qualifications:

• HBO/WO work and thinking level, preferably Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience with RAW-systematics and UAV(-GC)
• Experience with infrastructure projects and drafting work (AutoCAD/Civil3D)
• Experience with drafting software (Bakker & Spees, Ibis)
• Knowledge of civil construction costs and SSK is a plus
• Accurate, analytical, and strong in communication
• Minimum 24-40 hours per week available
