Your opportunity Stantec's Energy practice has an opportunity for highly motivated Engineering Student Interns to join our team in Southern California to work on power delivery projects. This is a great opportunity to work with industry leading professionals in your field of study. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken applicable mechanical engineering courses. Your key responsibilities include providing engineering support for a variety of design projects, coordination with other engineering disciplines and CAD designers. Responsibilities will include drawing production (CAD drafting, sketches, etc.), review of design calculations and report preparation, product research and outreach, occasional site visits, and various project-related tasks.

Your capabilities and credentials include excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, self-motivation, and basic understanding of CAD drafting software (i.e., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, and/or Revit), and MS Office software. Education and experience requirements include enrollment in an accredited Engineering program, at least one year of college education and are within approximately three years of graduation, and at least a 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay range: $23.47 - $34.50 hourly. Pay transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
