We're seeking a dynamic and collaborative Civil Engineering Team Leader to lead our high-performing team based in Perth, Western Australia. This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects while mentoring a talented team of engineers, designers, and drafters who are passionate about making a difference in their community. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving project delivery excellence across a broad mix of public and private sector projects — from regional infrastructure upgrades and municipal works to land development and urban renewal initiatives. You'll have the chance to collaborate with some of the best minds across Stantec's transport, water, environment, and buildings teams — tackling complex challenges and delivering smarter, more resilient solutions. These cross-disciplinary connections not only strengthen project outcomes but also open exciting avenues for career growth across Australia, New Zealand, and our global network. With the support of the Group Leader, you will play a key role in business development and team growth, helping to secure and expand our project pipeline across Perth region. At Stantec, we're committed to your career development. This role offers a clear pathway for professional growth — whether through technical leadership, people management, or strategic client engagement — supported by a global network of peers, learning programs, and mobility options.
About the role
Ideally you will have consulting engineering experience working within the community development team of engineers, designers and drafters. You will be at the forefront, engaging with clients, managing project implementations, and conducting technical design reviews. Your strategic vision will position our office for future success and growth. As a representative of our company, you will build and nurture lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders, playing a senior role in our collaborative and innovative environment. You'll thrive in a role that offers variety, autonomy, and impact — balancing technical leadership, project management, business development, and team mentoring. This is a rare chance to shape projects, grow a team, and advance your career with the backing of a supportive regional leadership group and a global network of experts.
