Your Opportunity

Our Dynamic New Haven, CT Structural team is looking for an intern for the Summer of 2026. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assist engineers in the preparation of contract documents and reports for a variety of civil engineering projects ranging from bridges (non-structural aspects), roadways, parks, recreational space, and transit facilities.
  • Responsibilities include computer aided design and drafting, checking drawings and calculations, quantity take-offs, simple design calculations, and field inspections.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Minimum requirements include prior exposure to CAD Design programs (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation), and current good academic standing in an accredited engineering school. Past experience with Civil 3D and/or Bentley Inroads is favorable.

Education and Experience

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters Engineering Program, preferably Civil Engineering. Typical office environment involves working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Spring Co-op Interns are expected to work 40hrs/week minimum in the office. In-office work only. No hybrid or remote accommodations included.

Pay Range

Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 54,000.00 - Max Salary $ 75,600.00

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
