What You'll Do

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in coordinating shipments, managing customer accounts, and maintaining operational efficiency, directly impacting the success of our global supply chain.

  • Consolidate and assign pickup dates for LTL shipments.
  • Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to identify and schedule unscheduled loads as needed.
  • Monitor the pickups inbox and respond to carrier inquiries within two hours.
  • Coordinate with carriers to arrange pickups for completed preloads.
  • Follow up on missed live loads with carrier dispatch, escalating issues to corporate transportation or customer representatives when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date comments on all loads as changes occur.
  • Manage customer accounts by pulling orders, performing data entry, consolidating PO numbers, planning waves, and coordinating with internal and customer representatives.
  • Monitor distribution center capacity for picking and loading on an hourly basis.
  • Collaborate with Operations to align load movement with picking pace.
  • Compile and submit daily reports detailing picks and gross shipment volume at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Address customer service inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Assess and communicate manpower capacity to support operational planning.
  • Ensure timely completion and scheduling of all loads.
  • Update metric boards hourly using Excel.
  • Be available for overtime as required by business needs.

Who You Are/What You Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with distribution center layouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely with high accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of product catalog numbers and handling procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with WMS reporting and display.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds independently.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive movement of cartons. You will use a computer mouse and keypad throughout the day, with minimal typing. Vision requirements include close screen work and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

You will work in a warehouse setting, which is typically moderately loud and not climate controlled. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
