The Job
As a Product Engineer, you'll be part of our Mac Tool Storage team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and deliver innovative design solutions that optimize manufacturability of critical customer requirements.
- Utilize Engineering Change process to support all product lifecycle management of engineering data.
- Manage SAP Master data (Material Masters, BOM's, etc.).
- Create detailed engineering CAD data per established standards and best practices.
- Design and validate fit/form/function of all components using various analysis methods.
- Perform product costing exercises to ensure alignment with project financial targets.
- Provide hands-on assistance during prototype/testing phases as required.
- Adhere to New Product Development processes by conducting DFMEAs, design reviews, presenting project updates at gate reviews, etc.
- Provide engineering support to quickly resolve issues during product fabrication using effective written and verbal communication skills.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN, etc.).

- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar.
- Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software (Creo/CATIA preferred) & data management using a PLM system (Windchill preferred) & MRP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience working on new product development projects.
- Experience with sheet metal & sheet metal fabrication.
- Cutting (turrets & lasers) / brake forming/welding/painting/assembly processes.
- Familiarity with using measurement tools. Calipers/micrometers/dial indicators/etc.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts & design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Willingness to travel to Customer & other SBD sites as required.
- High energy & willingness to learn.
