The Job:

An Engineering Technician with hands-on experience in laboratory tests and an ability to bring new products to life. You have demonstrated that you can operate and deliver in a fast-paced environment. You are looking for a role where you can make an immediate and lasting impact on our products and users. You're agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure we deliver top-notch customer experiences, always. You'll be Tools and Outdoor team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:

  • Perform product-level tests on power tool and outdoor samples.
  • Evaluate product performance and product safety using global EMC (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) test methods.
  • Analyze results of routine EMC tests, prepare accurate and detailed test reports using standard templates.
  • Follow laboratory procedures for routine tests.
  • Identify situations when a test requires engineering input.
  • Keep laboratory equipment in good working order.
  • Perform periodic verification tests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and check calibration schedules.
  • Send equipment to external laboratories when calibration is due.
  • Communicate within and outside of the laboratory team.
  • Accept new test requests, report test status and send completed test reports.
  • Archive test results in a library system.
  • Utilize available resources to complete urgent test requests.
  • Safety champion for the laboratory area.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN etc).

The Person:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent technical training
  • 3+ years' experience as an Electronics Technician, Test Technician or a related position.
  • Experience working in an engineering laboratory and completion of test reports.
  • Logical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with common laboratory test equipment, meters, oscilloscope, tachometer and similar.
  • Computer skills, able to effectively use MS Word, MS Excel and email
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge of power tools, motors, control modules, and mechanical principles will be helpful.
  • General knowledge of radio frequency signals, test equipment and antennas will be helpful.
