About Our Internship Program:

Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative.

The Job:

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Mechanical Engineering with key activities including:

  • Develop mechanical design internal software for development teams
  • Develop engineering database for engineering references
  • Develop math and physics model for power tool mechanical mechanisms
  • Building connections of CAE data with current product life cycle management system (Windchill)

You will have exposure to several areas of Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals, including CAE, mechanical design, reliability etc.

The Person:

The ideal Engineering intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2026 or 2027
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering.
  • Maintains strong academic credentials.
  • Experience in MATLAB with proficiency in Python or similar language.
  • Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $22.00- $27.00 per hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
