Job Highlights:
This is a full time Medical Staff Services Specialist position for St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. The schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with some need for early morning and late afternoon/evenings 1-2 times per month.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a pleasant, collaborative demeanor when working with providers and administration.
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs credentialing and recredentialing. Provides support for the medical staff organization.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists with developing and maintaining yearly calendar of medical staff meetings and special events. May coordinate agenda, packets, minutes, and follow up for meetings.
- Complies with the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements for medical staff and participates in the continual survey readiness process and regulatory review of credential files.
- Orients medical staff leadership to key policies related to their roles. Orients new medical staff members to the medical staff bylaws, key policies, medical staff structure, and performance improvement process.
- Administers all credentialing, reappointment, and privileging processes in accordance with medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal law.
- Provides administrative support as needed.
- May prepare credentialing reports and action items for the board.
- May develop, distribute, and archive the emergency on-call schedule as required by state and federal law.
- May maintain the credentialing and privileging software to ensure that information is available for privilege verification as required.
- May assist with scheduling and tracking of physician training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
