About the Position

As a DevOps Engineer at SSAB, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining our Production Platform environments in Microsoft Azure. This includes setting up virtual servers, managing roles and permissions, and ensuring stable and secure environments across development, test, and production. You will manage software deliveries and release upgrades - both during and after implementation projects, and collaborate closely with teams across SSAB IT to ensure compliance with infrastructure, security and operational standards. This role is also part of The Aurora Program, which is responsible for developing the business processes and IT systems required to operate the new mini-mills for fossil-free steel production. The primary objective of the program is to ensure full readiness for the startup of the Luleå mini-mill by the end of 2029.

Main Responsibilities

• Set up and configure servers and environments in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
• Install and maintain software environments across development, test, and production.
• Manage roles, permissions, and access control for software systems.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
• Oversee software release upgrades during and after implementation projects.
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure compliance with infrastructure and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to installations, configurations, and deployments.

About You

• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and build tools like Maven.
• Experience with Windows server administration.
• Solid skills in SQL, and experience managing databases like Oracle and/or Postgres, is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, e.g. Ansible, Azure Automation, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English. Fluent Swedish and/or Finnish is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills across IT teams.
