The VP Financial Operations will be involved in organizing the company and its subsidiaries to meet the geographic and operational expansion of the business to ensure operational and capital efficiencies exist to maximize scalability. Responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance as well as, providing insightful analysis of the company’s financial results to optimize operating efficiency and support continued growth.

Ensure the efficient, timely, automatic, and accurate execution and reporting of  the company's financials. All while keeping the company compliant and best-in-class. Manage the paradox of delivering the best possible financials, with the most automation, as quickly as possible while minimizing your team’s opex. Provide insight and analysis on the company’s financial results. Prepare the company for growth.

Responsibilities

    • Management and implementation of internal controls, systems, and processes that will support the financial structure for a fast-growing company including building and maintaining appropriate tracking tools for revenue and expenses to ensure that there is consistency with budgets and Leadership accountabilities
    • Reviewing the preparation of monthly financial statements and analysis including key financial metrics and variances from historic and forecasted results for presentation to Executive Management as well as individual business units/departments
    • Manage relations with external accountants and coordinate the required steps to complete the annual audit of the company’s financial accounts
    • Supporting the management of relationships with lenders, banks, and major vendors, as required, especially regarding monthly reporting requirements
    • Prepare inputs into monthly board packages and other financial reporting requirements as requested by the CFO and CEO
    • Drive continuous improvement through automation and process standardization by ensuring and then leveraging accurate financial information across various business units/departments
    • Build and manage the team, tools, systems and policies ensuring regulatory compliance (in conjunction with external auditors) within the established budgets
    • Daily point of contact with external auditors, tax advisors and other external financial support resources, managing their engagement to meet the Company's current and future needs
    • Support the accounting team in monthly reporting and monthly analysis
