Senior Digital Marketing Specialist

We're looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist who thrives in the world of paid advertising. Splitting your time 50/50 between search engine marketing and paid social. But this isn't a one-track role. For the right person, the scope could stretch into SEO, content strategy, and other exciting digital projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns using digital platforms and technologies with a particular focus across organic and paid channels (e.g., website, paid & organic search, paid & organic social, marketing automation software, CRM)
- Take the lead on our Paid digital channels including paid search and paid social – guiding best practice in content, targeting, spend whilst continuously improving for improved ROI
- Drive our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy – guiding content planning/development, monitoring and improving rankings for industry terms, with support from the Digital Marketing Manager & Content team. Working with the Digital Marketing Manager to contribute to core reporting and analytics, including report and dashboard development around the paid and organic channels.
- Ensure all marketing activities adhere to worldwide global best practice and required regulations, including data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA)
- Uphold digital standards across campaigns, including contribution to the evolution of brand guidelines and standards according to digital best practice.
Platforms, processes and strategic projects
- Day to day management and evolution of the HubSpot platform where it ties into the paid and organic channels.
- Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in identifying, selecting and implementing the viability of new channels and technologies to either increase efficiencies or offer greater reach for communications and implement where applicable.
- Contribute to the development, organisation and upkeep of digital assets and corporate knowledge.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in day-to-day management of SPT Labtech's digital presence, including corporate website, blog, social media, search/directory listings, and third-party channels.
- Management and coordination of third party/supplier/agency relationships as required.
- Support the mentoring and development of the digital marketing executive where skillset matches.
About you, your skills and attributes
Essential skills and attributes:
- Digital first mindset – is technology astute and aware.
- Experience in Paid Search channels, Google Ads & Microsoft Ads.
- Experience across Paid Social, LinkedIn being the prominent platform.
- An established understanding and technical experience of marketing automation platforms (we use HubSpot), analytics and reporting tools (e.g., SEM Rush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and website content management systems.
- Project management experience within the context of campaigns and digital projects.
- Data driven and analytical mindset – you're detail orientated.
- First-class organisation and a healthy obsession with deadlines.
- A team collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Great communicator – able to present technical topics in an accessible manner.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop new skills.
- Experience working with customer data and large data structures.
- Ability to understand and implement new marketing related technologies, especially social media and communication platforms.
Desired skills / attributes:
- Existing experience within Business to Business (B2B) digital marketing.
- Experience working within a high technology industry like life sciences or similar would be an advantage but not essential.
