The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The NCIA provides a wide range of services including cyber security, command and control systems, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and information management.
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is a team of over 200 members working to monitor and protect NATO networks. The centre executes a portfolio of programmes and projects around 219 MEUR euros per year to uplift and enhance critical cyber security services.
Role duties and responsibilities include developing documentation for security accreditation of NATO General Communication System (NGCS), NATO-Wide Studio Video Teleconferencing (NWSVTC), and NATO Secure Voice Services (NSVoS). Providing the standard ADS, consisting of CIS description, Security Accreditation Plan (SAP), Security Risk Assessment (SRA), System-specific Security Requirement Statement (SSRS), Security Operating Procedures (SecOPs), and Security Test and Verification Plan (STVP). Gaining familiarity with relevant NATO security directives and previous versions of descriptions of NGCS, NWSVTC, and NSVoS. Engaging with NCSC ASO, NISC, and NDWC SMEs to ensure that implementation of requirements from relevant NATO security directives by NGCS, NWSVTC, and NSVoS are adequately addressed in requested ADS.
Essential skills, experience, and certifications include knowledge and experience in cyber security principles, boundary protection, encryption, identity and access management, monitoring and detection, incidence response, vulnerability assessments, and risk management. Familiarity with system accreditation and deployment of CIS. Ability to work independently and in teams to achieve the desired goals. The ability to take ownership of tasks and strong motivation to accomplish them to the end. Responsible for complying with all applicable local employment laws, in addition to following all NCIA on boarding procedures.
Desirable skills, experience, and certifications include familiarity with NATO security policy and supporting directives, familiarity with PILAR (tool for security risk assessment), familiarity with NGCS and its subsystems, familiarity with NWSVTC and NSVoS.
Language: Excellent communications and writing skills in English.
Working location: The Hague, Netherlands.
Working policy: Hybrid (50% On-site, 50% Off-site).
Travel: Some travel to other NATO sites may be required.
Security clearance: Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
